After struggling with how to make use of the awkward shaped corner section of their garden, our client invited us to design and build a creative work space allowing them to separate their work and home life.
The solution was a wedge shaped garden room, five metres wide at the front reducing to two metres to the rear, nestling perfectly at the end of their garden. The vertical Thermowood exterior cladding features 15mm shadow gaps revealing the dark membrane underneath, perfectly matched to the anthracite grey windows and doors.
This office is internally finished with an engineered oak floor and a mix of ply wood and OSB creating a contemporary, natural, creative work space. Continuing the design palette and reflecting the exterior, the interior also features shadow gaps all round; details that really add to the uniqueness of this garden room.
A Box Clad garden room is built to a high specification, fully insulated, meaning that these spaces can be used all year round.
Fully insulated / underfloor heating / ply wood interior / anthracite grey windows and doors / thermowood cladding / rubber roof / screw pile foundations
